All I know about him is from a Soviet/American 'Space Art' book that I picked up in a used book store. His two paintings in that book are among my favorites. He focuses on the human side of space exploration, and has a style that is dark and 'moody,' quite different from the straightforward realistic depictions of spacecraft, planets, et cetera, that seem to be so common in 'space art.'
